FAMILY SESSION - CAPTURING BEAUTIFUL CONNECTIONS

Ann reached out to me after seeing a previous shoot I had done, expressing her desire to have some portraits taken with her daughter, sister, and niece. The family session unfolded in the warm and welcoming Fox Photo home studio located in Portlaoise, Co. Laois.

SESSION

Initially, my plan for the session was to capture individual portraits of the children, followed by shots of the mother and daughter, and finally, group photos with everyone together. However, all the session's flos is children led. Thus, the family session naturally took on some delightful variations.

We embraced the children's interests and allowed their curiosity to guide the session. I seamlessly transitioned between capturing shots of the children alone, the child with the mother, the child with the aunt, and so on. Eventually, we reached a moment where everyone came together, creating a heartwarming scene. The only thing missing was the smile of the playful toddler, who couldn't resist exploring the studio and showing that Fox Photo is childproof.

FINAL RESULTS

Ann and Adele, understanding the organic nature of the shoot, played an invaluable role. They assisted in keeping little Lottie engaged by finding a toy that captured her attention. Despite the challenges, I must say that the session was immensely enjoyable, filled with laughter and joy. The resulting photos captured the lighthearted and playful moments, making it incredibly difficult to select just a few to share with the family. It was truly a rewarding experience to be a part of this special moment and to deliver photos that forever capture the genuine connection of this remarkable family.
